
On Saturday 10th February 2018, Jubilee Oval will play host to the inaugural SGFA Festival of Football. This is an exciting and unprecedented initiative for our code and we are very proud to have confirmed for our local community.
The day will encompass an array of football activity from a Grassroots Coaching Expo led by former Socceroo and SBS Analyst, Aytek Genc, to Football NSW & Sydney FC activations, live music, kids face painting and guest appearances from Craig Foster and Sydney FC.
One of the key features of the day will be the 8 high quality matches being played between 2017 St George FA, Football South Coast FA and Sutherland FA Champion teams. As well as this, Football4All games will be played with the St George Warriors, Football South Coast Knights and Sutherland Titans all taking part.
Please see below some important game day information:
Venue Entry
On the day, entry into the venue will be via the following gates:
- Gate A: Players & Officials ONLY
- All players and officials will be given a wristband and must be worn at all times inside the venue
- Gate B: Spectators/General Public
Bag checks will be conducted at both entry points.
Entry for all spectators will be via a gold coin donation with all proceeds going to the St George Hospital – Children’s Ward.
Venue Access
Only players and officials with an SGFA issued wristband will be allowed on the field of play and in the player change rooms/tunnel. SGFA Staff/Volunteers will be monitoring throughout the day.
All spectator seating will be located in the Western lower grandstand and concourse areas ONLY. No other sections of the stadium will be open for access.
Food & Beverage
The venue will be running a food and beverage outlet which will cater for hot and cold food options as well as cold beverage options (excludes Alcohol). A coffee van will also be located inside the venue with various hot and cold beverage options available.
No Alcohol, glass bottles, cans or commercial food is permitted to be brought inside the venue. Anyone found to be in the possession of these items will have this confiscated and may risk being removed from the venue by venue staff/security.
There are NO ATM’s on site and no commercial food or cans are permitted into the venue.
Parking
There is NO parking inside the venue. Limited parking is available around the stadium so please plan your trip wisely.
Warm Up Areas
All warm ups are to take place in the park adjacent to the stadium, Kogarah Park (nearest Princes Highway). No warm up’s are allowed to take place on the field of play.
Toilets
Toilets will be made available to patrons on the concourse level (Level 1), including three accessible (one has baby change facilities) and one family room (with baby change facilities)
2018 Winter Season Registrations
Throughout the course of the festival, SGFA will be giving all member clubs the opportunity to take registrations for the upcoming winter season. The Legends Lounge will be the designated space for this with table’s setup by SGFA staff. The lounge will operate from 10:00am – 2:00pm on the day.
FNSW/Sydney FC Activations
Both Football NSW & Sydney FC will be present on the day running activations for all spectators. The FNSW Shooting Target & Sydney FC Chipping Enclosure will be in activation. These will both be in operation from 10am – 3pm.
Grassroots Coaching Expo
The Grassroots Coaching Expo will be held on Jubilee Oval from 8:00am – 9:30am. This will run on one half of the pitch with the other half being used for the SAP 10’s fixture. The course will be led by Aytek Genc and is aimed at coaches training 5-9 year olds. The session is fully practical and will run in the corners of the pitch.
