Football Philosophy

The St George area has made a major contribution to Australian football over the years having produced many of the country’s leading players.

The SGFA Development Program philosophy is to identify the most talented players and coaches from within our own region and offer them an environment of football excellence.

This includes the provision of highly professional coaching, in a Club/Organisation that has ambition, vision, and desire to be the best.

We want to continue to promote our youth into senior football and to produce technically gifted players who will learn to play entertaining, skilful, attractive and dynamic football.

Our objective is to implement a style of play consistent with the best in the world as exemplified by our COE U8 and U9, U10, U11 & U12 SAP Squads – possession based, tempo driven, dynamic teams and technically gifted individuals.

SGFA aims to deliver cutting edge programs and oversee an advanced talent identification network.
